MEET JULIE

Julie has been decorating since the age of eleven when she began many Saturday mornings with a ritual of rearranging her bedroom furniture and color-coding the contents of her closet. She has deeply fond memories of her mother allowing her the freedom to choose fabrics, wallpaper and paint colors for her room and other rooms in her childhood home. From those early days, she expanded her fascination with color and texture through art classes and eventually graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Art degree. 

Upon marrying and moving to New York City, she worked in television and then began motherhood with her two precious daughters. Julie’s husband has long worked in the luxury goods industry in a global capacity, and through that her family has had the incredible fortune to travel and live in many places domestically and internationally. Each relocation provided exciting new decorating opportunities and chances to learn of and be influenced by local cultural design aesthetics. She initially cut my teeth in design by lovingly decorating the homes of family and friends. 

In 2020, Julie turned her hobby into a career by creating her own boutique design studio in New York City while studying at the New York School of Interior Design. Having recently returned to her beloved hometown of St Louis, she enjoys working on projects in both cities. Being an active member of Central Presbyterian Church and a Board Member of STAGES St. Louis, Julie is grateful to be participating in activities that are near and dear to her heart.
