MEET JULIE
Julie’s love for decorating began at the age of eleven, when many Saturday mornings were spent happily rearranging her bedroom furniture and color-coding the contents of her closet. Encouraged by her mother to select fabrics, wallpaper, and paint colors throughout her childhood home, she developed an early appreciation for the way thoughtful design can shape how a space feels. That creative curiosity continued through years of art classes and eventually led her to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree from Baylor University.
After marrying and moving to New York City, Julie worked in television before devoting herself to raising her two daughters. Through her husband’s global career in the luxury goods industry, their family had the opportunity to travel extensively and live in a variety of cities both within the U.S. and abroad. Each move deepened Julie’s appreciation for regional architecture, local craftsmanship, and the unique ways culture influences the feeling of home — perspectives that continue to shape her layered and collected approach to design today.
Julie first honed her design eye by thoughtfully decorating homes for family and friends before officially launching her boutique design studio in 2020 while studying at the New York School of Interior Design. Now based once again in her beloved hometown of St. Louis, she works on projects in both St. Louis and New York City, creating interiors that feel personal, inviting, and deeply reflective of the people who live there.
Outside of her design work, Julie is an active member of Central Presbyterian Church and serves on the board of STAGES St. Louis — organizations that reflect her love of community, creativity, and meaningful connection.
